I had just sat down at the table and didn't have a read on the guys playing style. Was I too agressive? considering this is PP 25 NL I felt there was a range of hands that I could have been up against but if I'm wrong please tell me.

I typically don't like calling preflop raises especially when I will be out of position against raiser with AQ.

But being that you did, I check raise that flop instead of check call. only thing you are behind is JJ AA, QQ is unlikely due to Q in your hand.

I don't have any personal experience in this regard, but my impression is that the 25 tables (especially full ring) are pretty passive. If this is accurate, then I think you can lay down AQ to a raise, especially out of position. Given that you decided to play it, almost anything you do could be correct when you hit the flop that well.

I lay down 9/10 times with AQ in this situation preflop.

Being that you played I would say I like your play otherwise. I like the check/call on the flop giving MP a chance to also call. Maybe push the turn giving you some folding equity.
