NL $1 BB Full ring online. No read on villian, on MP1 I have a note that says he has a very high standard raise though. I'm dealt K K on the button. Villian is SB w/ $77, I cover him.

UTG limps, 1 folds, MP1 raises to $11, folded to me who makes it $22, SB calls $21:50, everyone else folds. 2 to the flop.

Flop ($57): 6c 2d 3c

Villian bets $6, I raise to $42, he pushes for $13 more, I call.

Would you play it the same? How would it change if both had, say $200?

Help appreciated

Yes. I hate min-raises and any real raise pc's you, so I think you push. If you raise and they call, the board could set them or an ace could come. If someone calls with aces, then that sucks. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

It's a crying call, villain probably has aces and was counting on your aggression.

Why on earth would you raise to $22 pre flop?

Sry, it was a miss print in my original post. MP1 actually raised $11

As AncientPC predicted he had aces and doubled up. The aces were on my mind through out the whole hand, but I really didnīt see how I could get away from it considering his short stack.
Folding to his push wasn't really an option, and since the 2-suited flop I didn't want him drawing cheaply to a possible flush. I wonder though how I would have handled the situation if stacks were deeper.

Thanks
