Is there any signicant difference in the quality of opponents at party 2-4 compared to 1-2? I'm beating 1-2 at a decent clip and I have the bankroll to move up, but I just wanted to get some feedback before I make the plunge.

Meaningless? stats:
Total Hands: 14,000ish
VPIP: 17.18
PFR: 8.06%
AF: 3.34
BB/100: 3.09

We're similar players at 1-2 ... you may be a little looser pre flop. But you will likely be fine at 2-4 just playing the same game as you are now.

Good luck

It's time to step out of the kiddie pool

A few things to look for.

First of all, it's a bad idea to try to get away with limping first in with any kind of drawing hand (whereas at 1/2 you could get away with it from time to time). Unless your table is very passive, don't try it.

Don't be afraid to re-raise suspicious bets on the flop and turn. A lot more people try to bluff, most of them poorly.

As with moving up to any limit, you may want to drop some of your more marginal hands until you get a better feel for things.

All in all, the switch wasn't that hard for me and I can't see it being that tough for any successful 1/2 player.
