I'd fold. Sure you have top pair but you have a weak kicker. Someone could have a higher pocker pair. Although not likely, someone could also have the 3. It definetly looks like you've overplayed your hand, though it seems that so has everyone else at the table.

I generally like trying to isolate the shortstack desperation-looking moves, but this one is really borderline. It is too easy for you to be behind, and if you are, you likely are drawing to 2 outs.

What I am really not sure about, though, is betting 40 into the pot of 150 on the flop. What are you hoping to accomplish here?

Also, what level sng is this? I don't think I could come up with a worse way to play MP3 or CO's hand... Amazingly bad.

Yeah, tag that guy up and follow him around. Hes bleeding off $ here.

(Hijacking the thread, but...)
...at what level can you really follow someone around on Party? It seems to me like both the $10 and $20 fill up way, way too fast to be able to do any meaningful table selection (not that it's needed either).

Do the $50 fill up slowly enough to allow some room to play based on opponents?

This push sucks given the paired board and your weak kicker. I find routinely completing in the early stages with mediocre to weak holdings get you involved in crappy hands more often than you flop a sneaky monster to slow play to be worthwhile at low buy-ins. Opinions?

I agree. I complete all the time, find myself in difficult spots all the time and constantly curse myself.

For me personally (playing low limits at Party in an extremely ABC way), this is the only spot that gives me a headache on a regular basis. Avoid it.

FWIW, if you also play limit ring, stopping routinely completeing in the SB can significantly assist in turning you from a loser to a winner if you are almost a winning player but aren't quite there yet.

IMHO, of course. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
