I'm looking for information (books, websites, ect...) on improving my short handed and heads up game to improve my sit&go results (I'm getting alot of 3rd and 4th place finishes, not many 1sts). There seems to be alot of information out there on playing full handed tables but there doesn't seem to be as much on heads up play. Also, what kind of success have you all had at heads up tournaments (in the $10 beginning range)? As I've thought about playing in some of those to get experience...but it could be an expensive lesson if the competition is tough. And there doesn't seem to be many out there (Pacific is the one place I've seen for the lower limits). I have a buddy, who claims??, the he wins about 3 out of every 4 heads up games he plays at the lower levels and does pretty well. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Stars offers HU SNGs, at limits as low as $5+.50. extremely soft. they also offer 4-player HU SNGs (two rounds) at the same limits. also very soft.
