I've been having a bit of trouble HU out of position lately.....and wimping out. Villain here is LAG (32/12, 2.0 TA).

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, T/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
8 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

Final Pot: 6 BB

Which street(s) would you have played differently?

HU against a moderately loose, moderately aggressive player, I'd c/r the turn. That'll probably fold him if he doesn't have at least top pair, so if he calls, check the river & hope he checks through so I don't have to decide whether or not to call a bet there.

If Villain is a LAG I'd 3-bet the flop and slow down if capped; either call down or check/fold turn. Against anyone else I'd probably play it the way you did. Had the turn been a card that didn't give you a gutshot draw, like a 2, then I'd bet the turn and fold to a raise, and if just called, bet a safe river.

3bet the flop, he can raise you with alot of stuff when he has position and itīs HU. bet the turn and river, call down if raised on either street.
