The tournament is a 230$ event with a 100$ addon at the grand casino in tunica. The structure has been bizarre, starting with 5000 in chips and 25-50 rounds, which doubled till they reached 200-400 then went smoothly to 300-600, 400-800, 500-100, then doubled to 1000-2000, 2000-4000, which suddenly put everyone in a precarious position.
The payouts are 21K for first, 11K for second, etc, 11th - 20th pay 1500$.
We are down to 42 players and I have been very aggressive stealing the massive blinds and antes, I am in 2nd place in chips. The chipleader has just moved to my right and is just plain dumb. He is raising UTG with 78s one hand and limping on the button first in with 89o.
The blinds are 4000-8000 with 500 ante. The chipleader raises UTG to 16000, I am next with 80000 in chips and pocket 88s.
You are almost positive you have the best hand and you know he's willing to gamble. Your move?
