Shill and I just talked about this situation as I struggle with it myself, damn kicker trouble. Without being shown any agression here, I think a value bet correct here. I'm still trying to understand situations where if you bet and are called, you are beaten, so checking behind is the correct play. I don't see this as one of them.

The board is paired, no kicker problems here.

As to the poster's original question, the answer is yes. This game (at the micros) is all about value betting.
