I am sure this has been discussed before but I am planning on going up soon and wonder where is the best place to stay.

I do not want to spend a ton on a room I will not be spending a whole lot of time in. I do not mind driving a short distance to the casinos so it can be off the BW a little bit. Where do most people stay and what rate do you pay on Thur/Fri/Sat nights in Feb/Mar?

Borgata, $125/night with the poker rate.

Isn't it cheaper Thusday night? (and other weeknights?)

But I do agree that the Borg rules.

I was thinking he was referring to weekends. You're right, though, Sun-Thurs is cheaper. I think it's $100 on Sunday and $39/$59 Mon-Thurs.

Wish I had gotten my reservation in earlier. Last I checked, Fri/Sat is booked, and Sunday is US$399 (if they even have any left at that price point).

Checked recently on one of those hotel websites and I found "Super 8" near the Boardwalk for only US$44 for Sunday night. Anybody know about this place? Should I be scared? Run away? Take the offer?

Cuz I really want to play at Borgata this weekend but need a place to stay...

The Sheraton in AC was $179 last time I checked. It's not a casino, but it ain't a Rodeway either.

Thanks, though I can't do Absecon. Need a place in Atlantic City proper (I don't have a car and would probably taxi it from the hotel to Borgata).

Don't see Super 8 anymore but I do see some hotel/motels 1 block from the Boardwalk. Econo Lodge Beach Block, Rodeway Inn. US$50-60. I can deal with this. Anybody know about these?

Oops! /images/graemlins/smile.gif Had seen Rodeway availability on my most recent search. Sounds like I should run away /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I did find the Sheraton Convention Center for US$128 tho. A lot better than US$179! Yee haw!

I stayed that the Econolodge Boardwalk next to the Sands. Rooms weren't too bad, good location and price.

Stay the hell away from the Rodeway next to the Trop/Hilton. The rooms literally smelled like crap when I stayed there, and the whole room was disgusting. It's like something out of a bad movie.

Hey moondog, no for Sunday night. It's still US$128. Thinking about doing it.

But then again I could pull an all-nighter at the Borgata table and take an early train back to the City. Oh decisions decisions.

Tropicana is cheap during the week. Thurs. night $49. $169 tho Fri. and Sat. They have a poker room rate but you need to have been rated previously for play in their poker room, I think, to get the rate.

I stayed at the Ascot Motel next to the Trop. Not the nicest joint in the world, but the price was right.
