For all you regular 200ers out there, I'm curious: How much profit do you average per tournament entered?

I'm considering trying my hand at trying to become a regular in those things, and I'm wondering what kind of profit I might expect (assuming I'm playing solid poker).

I've played a small handful of these, and have moneied every time. I realize you can't put too much stock into the outcomes of 3 or 4 tournaments though.

Thanks

almost exactly $100 per, just over 100 games.

my ROI% is 23.5% after about 200 tourneys. (about $50 per)

so that's a pretty high ROI% Is that maintable at that level? Is it starting to feel like an upper bound?

i played the game regularly for a while (week or s0), but i really dislike seeing 1k swings in my br, as all my money in the world is aboug 20k. so now i play the 100s.

i can imagine...back in what i like to refer to as my "dark ages" time in learning poker, i did some incredibly fishy things and saw a permanent one way fluctuation like that...and yeah, didn't feel good....

i'll make sure to stay away from the 100's for now /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Do you know how they make all their money? Out of probably 10,000 to 20,000 players playing SNG's at any given time through out the day some of them get lucky....really really luck. So they go into higher buy ins and higher and higher...until one day their luck runs out. And when this happens...its not at the 10/1 tables..its at the 200/15 and 100/9 tables. Yes, some regulars are gold mines who are long term losers but the fact is....DONT DO IT!

I played 200/15 for one month. About 300 200/15 SNG's. I made a profit, but the swings are awful! Unless you have played them enough and can handle yourself when you cant win you are going to keep losing and losing with huge ramifications. Within that one month I have lost 5,500 in one weekend, But I also have won 8,200 in 6 hours. I stopped when college finals started and have not been back since. Do I want to? Hell yea! Can I afford to? Nope. Do I feel like I can stay there without slowly building up my bankroll over years? Hell no!

Okay what I am trying to say is...
" Say no to drugs(and 200/15 tournaments) "

..Especially when you play nl 25 ring games

Good Luck,

Zebra

Like ZebraAss said, don't play 200's if you cant handle the swings. If your going to be playing 20-30 a day, swings in the thousands are going to happen.

What helped me in the beginning, was playing with a over roll for these games which helped me not notice a bad lil' run in the beginning. I would recommend playing with like 100x buy in, just so you dont tilt away when you lose your first 4-x buyins for the day.

As for what you make, expect $30 per prob....
