Raise, yes, but folding to a reraise is terrible.

Raise and call. No fold. You have outs to hit the boat.

Why so? Couldn't you be up against a flush already?

Raise and call a reraise. You'll still have seven outs to the boat and position.

Whenever you have a set, you will practically always have the right odds to draw to your full house. You certainly do here.

Raise and call a reraise with the boat outs. I like it.

Possibly, but you have 7 outs to beat a flush on the turn and 10 outs on the river. Folding is not an option.

technically...6 to the boat; 1 to quads

Point taken. I stand corrected.

Do you call another bet on the turn too?

Bet/ call. It's HU and he checked to you. A bet might win this pot here.

I'm betting this. UTG could have been betting the flop with a pair of aces. If he had a baby flush, a turn bet might get him to fold it now that he fears a bigger flush.

If I get check-raised, I will call and spike a 4 on the river.

Yes. This is an elementary pot odds issue.

On the turn, you have 10 outs to a full house or better, and when you hit, you will get paid off. Villians at this level frequently are completely undeterred by a paired board.

So you're in for the duration no matter. I got it.

Thanks.

Weird action by UTG. Why wouldn't he raise the turn if he had the flush?

Easy call for one bet on the river.

I fold and kick the dog. This would be one hell of a bluff by villian here. You have shown absolutely no fear of the /images/graemlins/club.gif's on the board and he bets into you here? If he bet this and doesn't have the K/images/graemlins/club.gif he deserves the money. (folding is easier said than done though)

I jam the flop.
Check through the turn -- nothing you beat is calling here, nothing can outdraw you at this point. Take the free card and call on the river.

Easy call for one bet on the river. I like it, but I made what I now think is a mistake and folded. His weird play threw me for a loop. When I was making the decision, I thought, "there's no way he's betting into a board like this without a club." When I replayed the hand in my head over and over, I hated folding. Did villain have A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif?

What do you think villain has to play it this way?

I have him on Kxs/images/graemlins/club.gif. The reason he called the turn was to make sure the river didn't pair the board. Once he knew he had the nuts he fired away again. Unless he's a mouthbreathing moron he does not bet this river unless he has a /images/graemlins/club.gif.

I thought about that, but that would mean he puts me on exactly AA or JJ. That would make him a mouthbreathing moron, for sure.

droolie

That's not true. If he has the nut flush he may not have even considered what you have. He's just playing his cards.

villian would put hero on A-broadway before AA or JJ. and the nut flush puts in far more bets than this. even the most passive player could check-raise that turn.

---------

flop raise cleans up baby clubs in case the flop bettor doesn't have one. bet the turn, he may fold. river sucks. call with no read and get one.
