Hmmmn. I think I'd check/call the river.

With middle pair, overcard kicker and backdoor draws I think it's fine to take a shot at a pot this size on the flop and maximize your chances of winning the pot by getting heads-up and hopefully making your outs live if you don't have the best hand.

At first glance I thought you were nuts. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif
But, "upon further review" I'm with you to river.
Agree that CC was your best option.
Double paired boards are scary aren't they?

I think the fact that the opponent is normally very passive pf but raised in this hand makes this a definite time to check/call the river. No better hands are folding. I do agree that A high calls as well. However I think the chance that this type of opponent is holding JJ, KK, AA or a Q is better than the chance of him having AK or AJ (which he probably doesn't raise pf).

At 3% PFR when he calls the turn you know you're behind. But I like the river bet anyway because if he has AA, KK or JJ he may well lay them down, and you only need that to happen more than one time in 10 to be ahead here. There are 18 ways can have AA, KK or JJ, 8 ways he can have AQ and 8 ways he can have AT.
