no read on my opponent except that i thought he was capable of bluff c/r'ing the turn as i had been folding to them from other players on this table the last couple times.

if hes capable of bluffraising the turn you may just want to call down with your AQ. If hes on a total bluff AQ high is probably good.

If hes capable of bluff raising, I would have just called him down. The 3 bet doesnt do much, he raised preflop so if his raise is a made hand, it's likely a pocket pair above 5 (or even the FH), or an Ax that has a paired kicker. Either way he isnt folding and you are setting yourself up to get capped, which you have to call because you've potentially got some outs, or he just calls you down. If he doesnt have a made, and has something like KT, he prolly still calls anyway cuz he figures there is a chance he could have some outs. And if he pairs either card on the river your still screwed.

the only way I think its worth it to make it, is if the guy is a LAG, in which case you prolly have the best hand and its for value as opposed to getting him to fold. And if it was for value, then you shoulnt have folded the river.

that's wild and hateful.

this kid sat down at my 5/106mx table and his name was CDC 1977. i was thinking dammit, time for a table switch. then i realized immediately that it couldn't be you because he was limping preflop. it happened twice in the 1st orbit and it became obvious that it was an imposter.

In general, the 3 bet is spewing chips, as he will never fold a better hand and reraise you with a good/excellent one. I would definately call him down however.

I think you have to call the river. That or dont 3 bet the turn.

if this was a 15/30 Ring game broken into a SH game ignore my statement but if this was a 15/30 SH game on PP you should've already known this is a type of game that even if you think you are in the lead you should force yourself to call down more then being the aggressor unless you have a monster.

but regardless, if your going to 3bet someone on the TURN with ace high you must be thinking he's bluffing you so I don't see why you don't call down the river when there is so much money in there by then.

Why not call the turn-raise, and check-call the river ?
