I just got done reading Harington on Holdem, and I'm wondering if continuation bets, Probe bets, and other things that he describe apply to cash games also, or if you're thinking has to change from turny to cash.

haven't read that one, and I haven't seen these concepts in other books, or at least described using these words.

can the OP or somebody else explain what some of these concepts are?

I'm reading it right now. A probe bet is when you bet after the flop to gain information, when someone else raised preflop. A continuation bet is when you bet at the flop after being the preflop betting leader.

In that case, I think we all use some of that in cash games just never gave them a name.

probe bet is good if you are playing blind defense against an aggressive button steal assuming he isn't capable of flop raise bluff followthrough.

I think I make continuation bets 80% of the time that I raised preflop but missed the flop.
