Does anyone have any experience at this casino? I'm visiting in a week or two. They claim that they run about 40-50 SNG's a day (buy-in's of $100-$200 or so). Is this accurate? I don't want to be stuck at $2- $4 limit games for 4 days. Thanks!

from what people have said there is some law in FL that only allows them to spread 1/2 or 2/2 games

I gave it a quick visit over Christmas. They had NL SNGs. I think the buy in was $125 and $250 more or less. The limit games were only very low limit 1-2. The cards were bent, smoking at the tables, no comp'ed drinks, etc. Wasn't too much fun. Didn't stick around for a NL SNG. Has someone played one of those?

yes they spread 100 and 200 SNG'S pretty constantly (short waitlist)

this should help ya all out...

tuesdays and thursdays
at 9am, 11am, 3pm, 5pm

$100 + $20
1st $450
2nd $300
3rd $200

at 1pm and 7pm

$200 + $25

1st $950
2nd $600
3rd $400

--------------

they got a crap load of tables, just expanded

drinks are comped (coffee, ICE water (not bottled), tea, etc. you get the idea)

beer on draft is 75 cents if I remember right

the 2-2 game has some action, but its damn hard to turn a profit. pretty much the place is useless compared to vegas
enjoy

Thank you to everybody! I knew someone on here had to have the information I needed. It's good to know that I'm going to have to steel myself to endure a smoking card room - I've been spoiled with non-smoking rooms. And yes, I realize Vegas is so much better but I needed to find something in the area of Palm Beach and this one seemed the best. Thanks again for all the help! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

WRONG---------------WRONG ----------------- WRONG

You are quoting the Tampa Hard Rock's tourney schedule, which only does them on Tuesdays and Thursdays (primarily because when they remodeled the casino they didn't make the poker room large enough and they can basically keep the poker room full of limit players paying the god awful rake Fri-Sun)

Hollywood has $135 and $250 SNG's that seat every time they get 10 players on a waiting list 24/7.

Hey grinin, thanks for the spot-on info! Sounds like you're pretty familiar with this place. Does 40-50 SNG's run in a day sound about right to you? Or, in other words, what is a typical wait for a 10 seater to fill up? Thanks.

i'm from boca, and these places (there's another indian casion just down the street) are pretty much terrible.

I haven't played SNG's at the Hard Rock, but the SNGs at the other place were terrible. It was something like 25-50 blinds with only 1000 starting chips. Its basically a total crapshoot. In fact it may even have been 50-100 starting blinds with 1k chips. Either way, someone's going to be all-in on most of the first few hands.
