Seems like there are a lot of posts about AK...heres another one! The Villian in this hand was calling pre-flop raises all the time with marginal cards.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

MP2 ($17.10)
MP3 ($6.70)
CO ($3.65)
Button <font color="#A500AF">(Villian)</font> ($33.70)
SB ($28)
BB ($24.75)
Hero ($27.60)
UTG+1 ($10)
MP1 ($22.40)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif. CO posts a blind of $0.35.
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO (poster) folds, Button <font color="#A500AF">(Villian)</font> calls $1, SB folds, BB folds.

Flop: ($2.70) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 4/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, Villian calls $2.

Turn: ($6.70) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $5</font>, Villian calls $5.

River: ($16.70) T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, Villian checks.

Final Pot: $16.70

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
Hero has Ah Kh (one pair, eights).
Villian has 7c Qc (two pair, eights and sevens).
Outcome: Villian wins $16.70. </font>

I didnt really know what to put him on but unfortunately i missed that there was a flush draw that didnt hit...lack of concentration on my part. Would u guys have put him on a flush draw and bet the river?

BTW i can count this hand as a learning experience as i got all the money back off him in a later hand /images/graemlins/cool.gif

maybe i'm horribly passive in this situation and should change but i don't even bet more than once into a paired board with a flush draw that i had no piece of whatsoever...and out of position...make one bet and get ready to click that fold button in my opinion...

agreed here, you may not even have all your overcard outs here.

I bet the flop like you do, but check the turn unimproved.
