I was just busted out of a 10+1 PL Holdem tourney taking 17th out of 353 a Whopping 36$
I was 2nd to last in the chip stacks, with 4-5 players close to my stack size. Blinds were 1500/3000 The play is very tight, no one calling raises blind steal after blind steal. I hadnt picked up a playable hand since i was drawn out by another short stack 2 orbits earlier. I pick up 88 in 3rd position. I bet the pot for over 9k to steal the 4500 out there, and raised by someone 1 off the button with about 20,000 I show 8's he shows A9s he catches a 9 on 4th and Im done.....I personally wouldnt play that hand at all at a full table with blinds easily covering 10-15% of my stack just to call. Did I make the right play on this? Or was I being too tight in the later stages of the game, giving up hands like K9 and A9 preflop...
