I only smooth call an agressive player and usually ONLY when i am closing the action. You just dont want 4 noobs to a flop w/ KK for that cheap.

I'd probably re-raise as well, but with a raise of 5 bb you can usually expect less callers. I like the just-call here though. It's good against a solid player to use for deception. I'm not sure your average PS player is great, but if by using this move you got him to put money in as a 'dog, then it worked. I wouldn't do it every time though (you'll allow someone to flop a set under you and that can be detramental). I could be totally off though...

while this statement is true, it does not hold true for most online poker. The reason to just call w/ a big hand like this is to use a players aggression against themselves.

Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with playing KK this way. I think it's slightly higher variance, but possibly could be long term +EV.

Whenever I reraise preflop in these games everyone just folds except for AA / KK.

He had QQ and rivered trips. .

I like my play given the player and the size of the raise from that position. .I feel like if he has AA he will probably take my stack anyways and if has QQ he'll muck it preflop. Also I feel like I play decent enough post flop to detect a set or some sort of a made hand from the blinds after a flop and turn.

Furthermore I'm well bankrolled for this game so although this play adds more variance I still enjoy it from time to time.
