i am posting this to find out how to find my posts. someone told me you click on your name and do "find all posts"

except, there is nowhere to click my name so I am posting this.

there has to be some easy way to keep track of threads ive posted in.

you see your post right above mine?
do you see your name to the left of your post?
Click that.

Click your name, anywhere you see it underlined.

First of all you are assuming I am using "flat" mode, which is not likely given that I am a newcomer, and that "threaded" mode is the default.

Second, I know where my name is. And I know how to click it. But suppose (ie, "make-believe") that none of my posts were on the screen. That would mean that my name would also not be present. So what would I do then?

If you reread my post you'll realize that was one reason why I posted it. So that I could find my profile and my posts. I'll just bookmark my profile I guess. But there should be a better way.

have you ever thought about clicking "my Home".

Then click search and use search for username feature.

Is this really that hard.

Add yourself to your address book, you can always click your name there to see your posts.

dude, I don't want to be mean, but a lot of this stuff isn't had to figure out. I mean, go ahead and ask questions, thats fine, but we really shouldn't have to hold your hand here.

sorry. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Exactly, this should be trivial.

But you're telling me everytime I log in I have to go through some 3 step process to see the status of my posts?

This is the funniest post in weeks.

And its not even close.

Do you see why?

Yeah, TSC. Quit giving this guy the runaround.

Look, man. First thing I would do is try Google. If that doesn't work, try to find a hardcopy encyclopedia. Your posts may be there. If that doesn't work, then I'd say your posts were probably deleted by Mat Sklansky. You should start a new thread in the Small Stakes forum in which you flame Mat for the trouble he's caused you.

The quickest way to view your own posts that most people probably don't even know about is to hold down "alt" and hit "f" then "x".

Agree completely. Hey Cracka, this poor fellow can't find his posts. You've got well over 10K posts. Why don't you just give him some of yours? You surely can spare a few?
