party step 4 STT. six players left when the following hand comes up. note sixth place gets $55, fifth gets $535 and first throught fourth get $1065.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

SB (t1150)
<font color="#C00000">Hero (t1345)</font>
UTG (t1560)
<font color="#C00000">MP (t3050)</font>
CO (t1545)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to t3050 (All-In)</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls t1350 (All-In), <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>,

Call or fold and is it close? How much of a difference does the fact that i have 1345 and the other similar stack has 1350 make. Note that since i am the BB if I fold i become the shortstack. Thanks.

If this were a regular SNG, I think I would be inclined to call, although even that would be close. However, if you fold and the button loses, you just picked up $480 in real money. If the button wins, you still have a shot at sliding into 5th or better against the two other smallish stacks. Just realize that you will have to make a stand in the next orbit regardless of what happens and that you probably won't pick up a hand like AKs to do it with.

I would call here. You have a chance to knock out one player while tripling up, and have a chance to place higher in the money.

I fold and it isn't close (well, not that close).

Save the heroics for when you're on the bubble and need two cards to raise all the autofolders. This isn't the bubble and the hand is GREATLY altered by being in 3'rd out of 3 chipwise.

With 4BB, 6 left, and nobody really close to blinding out, are you really going to find a better hand than AK? It's a coin flip at worst and with the stacks the way they are I don't see how you can fold.

Easy fold. Note that the button has 5 more chips than you, so if you both lose to the big stack, you get 6th. I'd likely fold even if I had 5 more chips, but it's something to notice. You have quite reasonable chances of coming in the top 4 by folding, and VERY good chances of getting at least 5th by folding.

Also please don't disagree with me, without realizing that this is a satellite. You got about 2-3 negative responses that I'm pretty sure think this is just a regular sit and go. Someone said its a coin flip at worst! A coin flip is a huge disaster at the end of these $500 steps if you aren't desperate.

Fold, and it isnt close. Why? Look, at the chip positions of ever else not involved in the hand. They are awfully close to yours, arent they? Folding gurantees you a 33-66% chance of getting a $500 jump in the prize pool. You always want to give other players the chance to bust without any significant damage to your stack.

Also note that the big stack has no reason to go all in, as he can fold his way into the money (1st-4th place). He likely has JJ+, and I know some players who wouldnt have made that move with that chip stack without KK/AA, and a few only with AA.

Thanks for the responses, I agree with those who say that a fold is in order. However I think the decision becomes a lot closer if I have the button outchipped.

Myst, when I was deciding whether or not to call I was actually only worried about the button. The big stack had been playing agressively making a lot of steals. I am not sure why, I think he was just a bad player. Anyway with less than a minute to think I decided to call. The bigstack had qj and the button had aces, with an ace on the flop i was out in sixth. Thanks again.

easy fold. It's basically the bubble (6th counts for nothing effectively) and you've already got a decent chance of someone going out this hand. It's pretty, but still only high card ace.
