I've just finished my first orbit, no reads yet.
UTG has not raised since I have been at the table.

This is fine. You're out of position with an off-suit hand that could easily be dominated.

BT,

As a standard or in this case because the pot is so small? I know it is likely that an early pre-flop raiser has you dominated, but you are still getting 3.5:1 to make the call and while I don't think folding in the SB is too tight under these conditios, I think folding in the BB is. Which more than likely means I am about to learn something /images/graemlins/smile.gif

with the offsuit hands, as a standard really.. unless there are many limpers. they are great hands to win little when ahead and lose alot when behind.

this (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=1173062&page=&view=&s b=5&o=&vc=1) contains better posts than I could come up with. Stellar's followup is a good post summarizing the different hands.

Think about what people raise with UTG. AA, AK, KK, AQ, QQ are terrible hands. The QQ not so much but you may think your ahead when a Q flops. The safer hands AJ, KQ, JJ, TT, (probably suited) lots you are drawing against except AJ.

With the face cards, you are easily dominated (Share one card but opponent has a better kicker) which leads you to lose lots of bets. Bad players over value these hands becuase they are face cards. Good to see you didnt! Good fold
