This is from a $5 NL Paradise Tournament. 1200 Entrants. Down to about 150. Im sitting in 35th place. Top 110 get paid. The flop comes rags and the SB pushes. I have 2 overcards and a 4 flush. 3 left to act behind me. I think my options here are push or fold. Whats the best play?

push, especially b/c there's some chance the SB is on a semi-bluff also.

I pushed also. My thinking was this was a bluff or he was protecting a small to mid pocket pair or top or middle pair. Everyone folded and he showed T9o. I didnt catch but felt it was the right play.

getting all-in as a 60% favorite with a ton of dead money in the pot is a good result. sorry it didn't work out.

Anyone else what to throw out a hefty raise pre-flop? I know AJ is hardly a monster, but at this point I have to believe you are ahead.

I hadn't gotten many cards. Been playing with the bigger stacks for some time and had only shown down KK 2x, and AK once. I think a big preflop raise would have gotten alot of respect from them. Raising preflop may have been the better play.

Push pre-flop.

No one has shown any strength and you have a good hand that's tough to play out of position.

There is 6450 in the pot when it gets to you PF, this represents more than a 50% increase in your stack if you take it down.

You have lots of FE and if called you will probably be ahead or a slight underdog.

Very good opportunity to add a significant amount to your stack without showdown.

In regards to what actually happened...push.

Perfect situation to play AJs strongly preflop. Cut those limpers off preflop and push. If you are called by a limping midpair than so be it you got the extra 5% from being suited and you connect one way...so its a flip.

BTW its an instacall post flop anyway you need chips and have 2 overs and nut flush draw...easy call.
