View Full Version : "2+2 Sucks Now"

I've been on this site for a year or two now and done a lot of reading in the archives and something I've observed is there have always been posts like, "wow, 2+2 is really getting bad now." In fact as I progressed year by year through the archives, this site got better and better but people were saying how bad the site was getting, that was kind of funny. I think maybe it has gotten a little worse the last year but for the most part threads like Daryn's are pretty goofy. It also seems like some of the forums go in cycles, have a bunch of good threads for a couple weeks and then not so good for a while. Anyway, I still like 2+2.

Agreed Danny, nice showing in the tourney chief.

Darn, I was hoping you were going to announce you are leaving us. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think people change more than the forum does. First you ask a bunch of been-asked-before questions as a newbie, then later you become pissed off when the current crop of newbies does the same thing.

Then you end up posting kiddie porn. Oh wait that's just you.

I think this is true also.

Apparently you do not know what porn is. There was no porn in that thread.

If it evoked images of porn in your mind... well that was in your mind, not mine.

Good post Danny. Daryn seems to be permanently angry. It reminds me of how older generations tend to complain about things were much better in their days. I think things now are much better than they were 50 years ago, and hopefully will continue to improve. However, in 50 years time I bet half of my friends will be complaining about "they youth of today".

Back in the old 2+2 days, Daryn and I had to shovel two feet of snow from in front of our monitors before we could even log on to 2+2. Plus we had to endure the arrows from Abdul Jalib. You newbies have it easy.

You had monitors?!?! Back in my day, we had to look through a window and imagine we were logging on.

Good observation and a good post overall.

I'm almost joking. But the teen model site you listed is pretty blatant as a loophole for dudes digging underage chicks. That's painfully obvious. No nudity sure, but 13 yr old cleavage shots a plenty.

Okay Danny. Now go use your WPT money to buy a belt and quit asking to wear mine.

first of all congrats.

i believe the reason old timers start saying things around here suck is because when you first join there is all this awesome info available and it seems like you learn something new every time you log in.

after about a year youve seen 99% of the hand posts and you migrate to tho oot forum because youve posted and critiqued every hand possible and you know what the right play is in almost any situation. however your still playing and interested in poker and you want to post with all the friends you made here.

to be honest i only goto oot, news views and gossip, and the zoo nowdays because i dont feel like talking about how to play AQo from early middle position.

to anyone new who joins this site is just as awesome as it always was. small stakes and micro are better than ever and are a true gold mine. one you reach the higher levels you start realizing that high level poker isnt something you can learn from a post. once you know how to win the rest is all experience.

seriouslly no kidding the nl forum is always better when you post a lot of hands they always seem to catch the eyes of the best posters flynn, el diablo, turnipmonster, so quit posting here and get busy on the other forum

I know there are going to be people who disagree with you, however I agree.

I don't even bother responding to strategy threads that much, I just like posting them and hearing other peoples responses to my play.
