I play limit hold'em at a locals casino in the Las Vegas area called Sunset Station. They spread a 3/6/9 hold'em game that I regularly sit down in. My question is, what strategy changes are necessary for this structure? I would think that drawing hands benefit from the big bet of 9 on the river. Am I correct in this thinking? Also, as a side note, I would be interested to hear from anyone who happens to play there that uses this site. Thanks.

I've played a lot of 3/6/12 in Louisiana (you have the option of betting 6 or 12 on the river).

I agree with you assessment. Pairs and suited hands go up in value, big offsuits (e.g. AJo) go down.

Also, the value of position is increased. That extra bet that you gain or save on the end is larger in proportion. Plus, you can make use of the "raise the turn, take the free showdown" line on occasion.
