View Full Version : Sportsbook cons?

10-23-2001, 10:29 PM
I have had very limited exposure to on line sports books. I am going to open multiple accounts, and would really appreciate any recommendations you gentlemen could give.

I am under the impression that the following are reputable books

Olympic

Intertops

Bowmans

Canbet

Carib sports

Pinnacle

WWTS

Any others?

Thanks in advance

I have been on Intertops for three years. I have received a check from them. They have only mediocre selection compared to some books, and they post lines later than I would like for some sports, but overall, I've been pretty happy. I like some of their non-sport bet offers, such as cinema, stock market, etc.

Those are a decent list although there are many more. One thing is that most knowledgeable people complain about Bowmans, you might want to avoid them. They have a tendency to try to change numbers on you if they think you are a winner and their service is reportedly rude at times. I have never used them for these reasons so I can't say for sure. Intertops supposedly also isn't too friendly if they think you are a winner.

The "many more" are exactly what I'm looking for Bill. Could you please name a few that you have used and are happy with?

Thank you for responding. You are the life blood of this board. I have been reading posts here for 1 1/2 years, and you remain the one constant while others come and go.

How would an online book be rude? Are there cases where they refuse action on posted lines? Thanks again to both you and Mojay for responding
