Damn, Greenbay's had a lot of MVPs.

Wow.

I had forgotten about Favre's 3-peat.

He was(is?) the man.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Anyone who was old enough to remember that season care to elaborate? I was only 8, so my memory is a little fuzzy.

Michael Vick gets one vote, can anyone explain?

Last year his team sucked with him out for the majority of the season.

With him in, they win the south and get a first round bye. What's to explain?

He also rushes real good. It's like having a back behind the o line who can pass.

he did hit 20 out of 21 but missed 3 extra points and didn't lead the league in scoring. I wish someone had the story of this. It doesn't make sense to me.

The problem is that rushing QBs get hurt. Since being in the league starting % are:

P. Manning - 100%
M. Vick - 67%
D. Culpepper - 77%

He also hit a game winner in week 16 with like 3 secs left to get his team into the playoffs.

Culpepper wasn't starting his rookie season. Manning was. I suspect this has plenty to do with skewing this stat.

Tough to find info on this.
How times have changed. Mark Moseley, whose contract offered a bonus "for each additional NFL record" he set in the 1982 season.

As it turned out, Moseley kicked 20 field goals in a row, breaking the NFL's single-season mark of 16 consecutive field goals. The Redskins paid him for breaking one record.

Moseley argued that each field goal over 16 broke another record and that he deserved another bonus. The Redskins didn't buy that but gave him $2,500 to settle.

So he should get a vote for MVP. I am not saying he isnt good or valuable.

I am a typical Manning fan, not happy unless he got all the votes. I was just kidding by the way.

I'm not even a Manning fan, but this post is right on. How could you really vote for anyone else unless it's a sympathy vote?

Figured it was something like that.

I don't really like the Falcons, but I gotta say, they should scare the hell out of any team they play because of Vick.

Not that I would have, but I can see someone voting for Vick based solely on the fact that without him in the lineup, the falcons BLOW. With him in the lineup, they are a very scary playoff team.
