The simultaneous occurrence of a transit of Venus and a transit of Mercury, where both planets "eclipse" the sun at the same time, is extremely rare.

The next two occurences will take place in the years 69163 and 224508.

Enjoy!

Will these occurences be observable anywhere on earth, or only from certain hemispheres? (If I have to get my passport renewed, I need to start on it now.)
