View Full Version : best kind of lettuce for burgers?

So, somehow i got charged with bringing lettuce and chese to the bbq i am getting ready to go to. i hate lettuce. I especially hate iceberg lettuce. But is this standard for burgers. Im unsure. Help me out.

use, this thread will be mostly useless.

Iceburg is the best, also get some red onions and you are golden.

I don't like lettuce much either.

iceberg is standard - i just had a burger for dinner and threw some baby spinach on it...heaven indeed /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hamburgers seem like a food that healthy stuff like lettuce and tomatoes shouldn't be put on. It's a ketchup, pickle, and mustard food.

Forget lettuce, get some sprouts--radish sprouts are best, they have a little zing. Red onions unless they have the sweet yellows. Jar of pickled jalepeno slices, and you're good to go.
