Argggghhhhh, just dropped about 1200 chips.

Q9o in the BB, after like 5 limpers.

Flop J T 4, some min bets around.

Turn K, I bet out 100, button raises to 300. I reraise, he pushes for a couple chips more. Had AQ for the real straight.

That sucked...I had KQ and turned the nuts.

No draws out there but mine...I thought Bati99 had a hand...I don't know what he's raising the flop for.....but he just checked it through. Oh well.

Bigdaddydvo
01-09-2005, 04:47 PM
suspected you had a strong hand after you called a bet and a raise on the flop. Good one.

Laid down TT on the button when there was a raise and reraise (when both dudes had AK)

Bigdaddydvo

Looks like you caught a great run of cards. Figured you had KK with the big 400 chip reraise PF. You're doing what you need to do; I'd just like to get north of 3K here soon.

You're doing some awesome betting w/that Bati dude...you're probably in his head right about now.

Gave some money to someone with AA. Caught a set of tens and called down a river bluff on the 3rd flush card. Good to be lucky.

modaddy
01-09-2005, 05:29 PM
Speaking of KK, how about this hand? I decided to limp specifically because both the guy on my left and the BB are LAG (58/14 and 39/18). I couldn't decide whether or not to bet the turn. I didn't want to commit too much, and I sure didn't want to give up MY free card if he was check-raising a straight. With his actual holding I could have extracted some money on the turn... should I have contented myself with the 1K pot?

Just got moved off of Schaef's table, and had a limp w/AJo get pushed away by an all in. I did double up earlier when I open raised w/JJ, got one caller, and then a dude raised all in. Thought he was makin a move, called, he showed A8, and the jacks held up. After a steal I'm up to 4170

Down to 2700 or so. I'm learning a painful lesson about limping and/or raising in EP w/KQo and AJo, as I've been reraised and pushed off of the hand both times. Steal chances have been few and far between, but hangin in there.

This is the hand busted on. I had shown good hands so far in the tournament so I wanted to start playing more aggressively so I raised with 97s. I was on the button with a late position limper who played a lot of hands. I raised hoping to win the pot immediately or take it on the flop. I had a flush draw on the flop and caught a flush on the turn. I hesitated on the turn like the third diamond scared me. I bet and was raised. I called and went over the top on the river. He showed me a bigger flush.

I made a really stupid, impatient play and busted. W/Blinds 150/300, it's folded to the button who goes all in for 1700. I think he's weak, so I call from SB w/A8s. BB comes over the top of me all in, and I call like a dumbass. He shows KK, and I don't improve. The Button had A6o, so my read was correct. I needed to remember the sandwich principle from Harrington. Sad face.

I busted out last hand before second break but saw possibly the worst beat ever a few hands before.

A maniac raised it up (as usual) then pushed all in when re-raised. Original raiser had 77, maniac K T off. Flop 7-5-5, turn 5, river 5!!! The maniac won the pot w/ quad 5's King kicker.

Glad to be a casual observer in that hand. Good luck anyone hanging in there.

Ugh, out in 46th.

Two hands leading to my demise:

I call here getting almost 5-1:

Tables are all passing blinds around, and I am not getting my share with my short stack. I figured my only hope is to try and double up. Maybe this is not the hand to do it with, but this guy was stealing relentlessly. It almost worked...

Ooof, rough. So close too /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I had no idea whatsoever that it would run as long as it did. I thought 4-5 hours... =/

well, you made it 3 spots better than me.
I got dumped 50th.

no interesting hands to post. just got caught on a steal or two, and just had a run of terrible cards with a very short stack.

so close i could smell the coconut oil.

I played in the tournament Sunday, table 215 monster49, and busted out after three hours with pocket aces then pocket jacks. Noticed that Eurostallion qualified twice this weekend after making it twice last month. Gotta be a heckuva player.
