No they have a valid point. I don't see any reason to be a dick about it and not just post a link and write a NSFW.

One of the best parts about Ootia is we don't have the dailey pissing matches that have infested some of the other forums. Anything I can do that is reasonable to help out an Ootian I will.

Additionaly posting porn pics is eventually going to result in this forum getting moderated which we don't need. Much better if we police our own.

Also, unless you work for some no name company that has some basssss-ackwords rules, you're not supposed to be using the internet for your own gain when on the clock. Gambling related stuff is just as bad as porn too. This might be OOT but it's still a gambling related messageboard on a gambling related site.

The reality is I've never posted a naked pic (or at least don't think I have unless someone wanted one specifically). So I'm not pretending to be this "rebel [censored]" or a "dick" as you are saying.

Some people really have some balls though to bitch about a picture with some of the other stuff posted here. I don't have a problem with any of it, but when you want to start pointing fingers and say that's wrong to do, when does it end? (ie Why is it not okay to post a naked picture of a legal woman but someone earlier posted a pic 12 year old girl in booty shorts and no one said anything?)

I am not trying agrue that the standards make sense. Nudity doesn't bother me which is why on my site I have and will have until it is shut down, nudity. I also think that the entire concept of "bad" words is insane. Which is why in my house I will freely say [censored] [censored] and [censored] whenever I please.

However on my site you would never find a picture of a 12yr old girl under a sexual context whether it was a joke or not.

But we are not on my site,in my home or your home. We are on 2+2 and they have set their own standards and one of those are maxim style pics are OK and playboy style pics are not.

By posting the pics you are just potentially [censored] over a fellow Ootian who uses Ootia as an escape from the hell that is having a job. Having been there myself a year ago, I can tell you it is appreciated.

If someones work would go through their history and see that they looked at a post on a message boatd that had a 12 year old in booty shorts pic, I'm sure they would have a problem with that just as much as having a problem with a naked legal woman.

I go back to my original point (although I never clearly stated it from the start) that I don't have a problem with any of it, but when you want to start pointing fingers and say that's wrong to do, when does it end?

I hate to come on here and see talks about abortion (doesn't matter if you're for it or against it, you're not going to change anyones belief on a messageboard) or people driving drunk (have friends who were killed by drunk drivers and got killed driving drunk) or people talking about 13 year olds being hot.

There's plenty of other stuff that I don't like to see but I don't make posts about it telling everyone to not do it. This is a public message board and everyone is free to do whatever they want (unless the mods say otherwise). I simply just ignore those threads and I don't see why others can't. I mean most threads that have NSFW stuff are obvious from the titles. As an example I saw people bitching about the "Ex-Wrestler, Chyna is a guy. Video proves it" thread. Come on now... with a title like that do you seriously think it's going to contain pictures of kittens and puppies?

No you're missing what the real danger is. It's not they anyone usually cares that you are visiting a gambling message board. What happens is this. I am browsing Ootia and open up said post containing a NSFW pic, and at that moment uptight female happens by my cube, computer whatever and sees said pic. Well she flips out tells uptight human resources person and now I am in the bosses office explaining why I was looking at that pic.

It is not a matter of who is at fault. I am saying let's help out a fellow Ootian when it is as easy to use the URL feature as it is to use the image feature and type a simple NSFW.

Exactly.

Nobody is suggesting anything radical. Everyone can still post whatever they want. It's just a matter of eliminating the "surprise" moments.

I think that's a very fair solution to some people's problems with such things.

No need to be selfish and say, "I'll do what I want, when I want to."
