I don't use it because I have no idea what the hell it is. (This is probably yet another example of me being way behind the times technologically)

I use it. I like how it lets you remove the general and list buttons, and the transparency features.

God, you really are behind the times /images/graemlins/grin.gif

(Psst, if you find out what it is, let me know. I hate to be behind the times. /images/graemlins/blush.gif )

tabbed IM windows is the farkin nuts..I would think every poker player would use it as windows and desktop space is an issue.

The skinny for those in the dark:

DeadAIM is a skin/script of AIM, that has other features added on. You can have windows transparent so IM's can fade behind other windows, it automatically saves every conversation you ever write into a log manager. And the earlier mentioned, lets say you have 6 im windows open, it will be in one IM box with tabs on the top of each IM window. It owns AIM.

I used to use trillian, but I had lots of problems with it. Maybe the new versions are better, but I found I had to use the regular clients (to avoid problems) for whichever IM service I was using.

I do use DeadAIM. It has a lot of great features.

That's good to know. I really liked the concept. Maybe I'll give it another shot at some point.

Tabbed IMing would be badass, but I'm not sure I need my wife to be able to go see every conversation I've had on IM.

[/ QUOTE ]yeah, isn't the whole point of IMing to be a idiot and saw [censored] you normally wouldn't say. Why save that?

I figured as much. In reality, I'm just too lazy to get it and I've maybe outgrown IMing to the point that I rarely IM to more than one or two people at a time if any at all anymore.

Yeah, I barely talk to anyone on AIM anymore. But it's still nice to have tabs and no clutter on the AIM window. Getting rid of all that extra crap they have added on to AIM is definitely nice.

Negative. It's basically a one time fee. I forget how much, but pretty cheap. There used to be pirated copies everywhere.

EDIT-
$4.99

Lots of them don't work anymore though. Still, it's only $5.. probably worth the buy. I've seen independants like that sell programs for obscence markups. I respect his price.

Yeah, I didnt have Paypal so I couldnt buy the one I saw. If he accepted Neteller I would throw him the 5 bucks. Paypal is such a piece of trash. Great program though.
