Ok, I got their in the end but....

UTG is a nut pre and post flop

UTG+1 was fairly new to the table - seemed to be a bit loose preflop

MP1 was loose passive preflop but seemed good and aggressive post flop

I was gonna check-raise the flop but didn't like the look of the board - was I ok calling 2 cold to a possible 3 outer or was the pot getting too big to fold anyway?

I wouldn't fold the turn. It's certainly possible (likely, even) that UTG can't beat trips, and MP1 may just have a worse queen or AK (and you have the odds to draw against that).

On the river, after showing no strength at all previously, I'd probably just check again. But what you actually did worked out nicely enough.

I'm sure I've never flopped trips and "didn't like the look of the board". I would have check/raised the flop and led the turn.

I think a flop checkraise would be fine, but I believe the poster is talking about the turn here.

Bet the flop. 3-bet the turn.

Since we can expect a bet from UTG, I think checking the flop is better.

you flopped trips and didn't like the look of the board?

You're playing scared. Move down or roll up.

IMO, there is absolutely no place in that whole hand that you can consider folding.

Check-raise the flop, it is very unlikely that your behind at the moment. Your play on the turn isn't bad but you're probably still ahead so raising isn't a bad idea.
