My buddies and I are planning a March Madness getaway. The aifare/hotel rooms in Vegas are absurd during the tourney, so we are giving serious consideration to Tahoe, as several of my friends ski/snowboard as well. Anybody have any experience playing there? As far as I can tell, Harvey's has a room, but details are sketchy.

Harvey's has a good room, about 15 tables. Mostly 3-6, a few 5-10 tables, one 15-30, and one deep-stacked 5-10NL with a min 500 buy-in. Lists were long when I was there, but it was NYE, so it shouldn't be as bad now.

3-6 has the most fish, 5-10 was a littly rocky but got good later at night, and I never played the 15-30.

I just returned from Tahoe. I played only the 3/6 and it was very soft. The only action is at Harveys, they do have 16 tables and it was busy but the list moves fast. The rake is high (4+1 for Jackpot) Also the Jackpot is not set up very well. I was still able to crack the game for 5BB per hour. I am sure you will do well.

The only action is not at harveys. Horizon has 2-6 spread limit which was VERY juicy during new years. They also have a 2/3 NL 200max buy in which was very juicy as well. They also spread a 2/3 pot limit dealers choice game with a 100min buy in and no cap, although there seemed to be some formidable players in it and only a couple soft spots when i was there.

As stated, the Harvey's room is a good spot for low limit. In addition, their sports book rocks, which should be good for March Madness parlays.

Eat at Cabo Wabo downstairs...surprisingly decent Tex-Mex, and fantastic mojitos. The steak Diane at the Harvey's steakhouse (can't remember the name; it is just off the casino floor) was pretty damned good too.

This one intrigues me. What games were they playing?
