Villan in the hand is TP-P. VPIP=8, PFR=5, AFTOT=1.1.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif. MP1 posts a blind of $5.
3 folds, MP1 (poster) checks, 2 folds, Hero calls, Button raises, 2 folds, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.40 SB) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 4/images/graemlins/club.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets, Button calls, MP1 folds.

Turn: (4.70 BB) A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 7.70 BB

Any other way to play this hand? I think check/folding this flop is too weak... am I wrong?

Why bet out on the turn?

Postflop is ok, but I can probably check fold on the turn against this opponent. How about a preflop raise?

Check-fold the turn. With stats like that, what would he possibly raise PF that doesnt beat you there? KQs maybe, but he would probably check behind with that and most likely fold the flop.

First one in voluntarily. In position. Why wouldn't you raise here?

Pocket sevens have little strength unless heads up. It is likely that it will not be heads up, because the poster and the BB are likely to both call.

Would you raise with 22 or 33 here?

The BB or the poster might fold. We're doing pretty well against a random hand here. And we have an okay made hand here, and if the button 3-bets, it makes the postflop play easier, because we can narrow his holdings. Big difference between a button raising hand and a button 3-betting hand.

I like the put the hammer down when I have position against posters. They must be weak players, why else would they be posting in MP1?

why do you say that? They could both have 27o for all you know. Neither one has shown any sort of liking for their hand and 77 is definatly ahead of 2 random hands at the moment. You have a nice PF equity edge and pushing it is likely to get it heads up. Besides, they don't know you have 77, if an ace flops, you can represent aces and against 2 random hands, you may actually get a fold out of a hand that is drawing very live to your 77.

Yea, it was one of those turn bets where I quickly thought "Bet since he might have KQs or...." and this is where I bet. Turns out that there really isn't any other hand I am ahead of.

And I did miss a flop raise (I was multitabling and didn't realize the poster posted).

Why raise PF?

Because 77 most likely kills the cheese that the poster, Button, and blinds have. 77 is a strong hand HU or 3-way, and being the aggressor and having position is another means to winning a pot aside from having the best hand at showdown.
