Opponent is loose (32% VPIP), aggressive (PFR around 11%, PFAF >3), and apparently knows that I enjoy long walks on the beach, betting when checked to, and calling down like a little girl.

Comments on each street appreciated.

I'd think about calling the flop and raising the turn.

Given that you played the hand the way you did I check behind on the river.

Not me, I'm a sucker for being checked to. How many 2+2ers can say they have been the victum of a trifecta?

It wasn't a trifecta, he didn't get c/r on the flop.

Why did you bet out again on the river?

I would go for the smooth call on the flop and the check-raise on the turn.

I still have nightmares about that hand. And my -80BB LAGfest 2+2 tables. Yes, I was pwned.

Someone pulled a trifecta on me two days ago. The problem was, I had top two pair and he had 9 high.

call me silly, but i think naming fellow 2+2'ers in hands like this should be frowned upon unless you are friends and discuss it prior to doing it.

cheers!

I don't mind, but I would have preferred if he pointed out that it was a 2+2 public table during MarkL's ADHOC challenge and that that was definately not a "real" game.

EDIT: And it also proves that party is rigged. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

No way. I'm almost never c/rd twice like this. If he checks the river, easy bet.

I as well, would call the flop and raise a turn bet.

perfect. Maybe a river check can be considered becuase of the 4 parts to a straight, but I dunno, that seems a bit weak without a corresponding read with this betting pattern. I must suck too. People do this kinda crap all the time with silly hands, and if he got you here, so be it. He'll likely give it back and more. Its about chips, not image.

I hate waiting until the turn unless you do it with hands like AQ on this flop and you guy knos you as the turn raise makes it too easy for a worse hand to get away (unless you know villian can't let go of a pair). If the board was more ragged a turn raise is a bit more palatable, but I really dislike it with the K on the flop.

I think anyone who is advocating checking behind on this river is either being results-oriented or is just wrong. This is often a failed turn semi-bluff or whatever and there's plenty of value in betting this river when checked to.

Correct.
