I need something more...

Today I woke up around 11:30am and my girlfriend had gone and got me coffee. As I sat in my aeron chair and drank my first sip, I realized something was missing. Is this really all there is in life? Being young, working part time and making thousands of dollars each month, having a beautiful girlfriend who adores me and takes care of me, buying whatever I want even if I don't really need it? I mean sure I'm laying the foundation to retire at the age of 40, but then what? Will I eventually regret being successful at virtually everything I try, all with the love and support of my friends and family?

And that's when I knew I needed to make a change. I don't need to wait for the Maybach 62, the 57 will be just fine. And what does it matter if the heated marble floors in my bathroom don't get hot enough. I can live with it. At this point, I remarked to my girlfriend "Honey... goddammit... you don't need a pink diamond. We need to start growing up." She of course was upset, but I told her she could go shopping to feel better about it.

Wait. That's not it. Something different was missing. There was no whipped cream in my Starbucks. Still though, you get the idea. I hate when I feel like I need something. A double venti vanilla mocha-chip steamed latte on the rocks just isn't right without whipped cream. Anyone else have smiliar problems?

Here's some advice for those have trouble in the corporate world, this is coming from someone with upper-level management experience.

1) Always ask yourself if what you are doing is good for the company

2) Don't take other people's office supplies (pens, pencils, staplers)

3) Use proper format on your office memos and reports, (Don't forget cover pages, you will hear about it from at least 3 different people)

4) If you get asked to come in on the weekend, do it! It could help save your job

5) Participate in company spirit days, such as Hawaiian shirt day, etc.
