My wife and I are watching TV, and I'm playing a 1/2 NL game on Pokerstars. Our 18 month old daugher kept waking up in her bedroom, and it was my turn to go up and plug the binkie back in, or whatever the problem was. So I'm playing two boards, and hate to sit out. So I tell my wife, "Fold everything unless you get aces." She knows enough about poker to know that AA is a good hand, but that's about it.

So I come back down the stairs, and she says she won a hand. I immediately ask her what in the world she played, and she says "I had two aces." So, here's how it all unfolded. I especially like the post-flop round.

Fantastic!

You should play every 20th hand that way to see how many fold.

A few months ago me and my friend from home used to play 10+1 SNGs like it was our job. We were so addicted that we'd play right before a class and frantically call each other up and hope that the other could log on and finish the game out.

One day my friend called right when I was walking out of the room and my roommate was walking back in. I explained the situation to my roommate. He said he would play.

He'd played maybe twice before.

I told him: "Play good cards. Pocket pairs above seven are pretty good, but don't go crazy unless you flop a set. And big aces are good, too."

I came back and he wasn't in the room. So I decided to check the hand history.

He flopped a set twice and had both people push into him. And every time he had a big ace he min raised and would flop an ace. He ended up winning by beating the guy heads up with min-raises that his opponent never called.

I was so proud.
