I am planning a vacation there either in Early-Mid March, or early May. Which part of the year is better weather-wise?

thanks,

Honestly, aside from like a 20% higher likelihood of rain in March, it's about the same.

The forecast is for a high of 65 with overcast skies 360 days a year.

though there is potential for an early heat wave in May...something like less than 10%. March is one of the raniest months in the BA.

thanks guys, sounds like May it is.

if there are any golfers in the monterey area who would like to play, I will be playing pebble and one other sweet course in the area yet to be decided. I would love to play and talk some poker with some other 2+2ers.

Mark Twain is rumored to have said about SF weather:

The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco."

He did. That statement has more to do with expectations, fog and wind, which run against themselves between June and September. There usually isn't much fog in May.

The temperature, however, doesn't change much except for Sept/Oct and about a week sometime in Jan/Feb.
