Way too small of a reraise preflop. If you're going to go that route, you need to put the EP players to a decision. No one's backing off for an extra t150 when there is t825 already in. Make it at least 3X his raise.

I'll echo that your preflop reraise was too small. If you want to encourage postflop action, then simply limp and play for set value. Otherwise, you should be making it t550-t600 there and be going all in on most flops.

Oh, and nobody likes bad beat stories...even if they are disguised as "could I have done anything different" posts.

I was raising to get an idea of how strong they were. Since they didn't come back over the top I put them both on high cards AK AQ KQ not any high pairs.

I am not trying to disguise this hand as anything. I truly am having problems with JJ in this situation. I don't seem to be able to win with JJ. Maybe I should have called post playing JJ.

The problem with re-raising preflop is that to raise any meaningful amount means you would normally have to call if either player moves you allin. Only way you may be able to get away is if both players go allin. Calling would be better than re-raising a small amount.

If your stack was shorter, I'd be moving in or folding depending on what I thought of the 2 players that had entered the pot. Against normal players, I'd probably fold. If they were playing looser, I'd move-in.

With a bigger stack than you had, say 2000+, I would be just calling the preflop raise regardless of how they had been playing.

I think the stack you had was borderline, albeit on the short side. I'd move in if the 2 in the pot were loose. I'd probably just call against typical ops given there is an UTG raise and flat call from UTG+1. Though I would consider folding.
