I can't decide what to make of Slansky. He has a good sense of humor, arrogant, smart, doesn't post too much poker (and I don't find his poker posts as helpful as other peoples either)... So, what do you think? I vote cool.

Mr. Sklansky has made me more money and provided me with more enjoyment than anyone on this earth, with the exception of my parents.

For this, he's Kool!

Definitely not cool... but a great thinker and an influential part of my poker career.

obligatory Simpsons reference to follow...

Homer: So I realized that being with my family is more important than being cool.

Bart: Dad, what you just said was powerfully uncool.

Homer: You know what the song says: "It's hip to be square."

Lisa: That song is so lame.

Homer: So lame that it's... cool?

Bart and Lisa: No.

Marge: Am I cool, kids?

Bart and Lisa: No.

Marge: Good. I'm glad. And that's what makes me cool—not caring, right?

Bart and Lisa: No.

Marge: Well, how the hell do you be cool? I feel like we've tried everything here.

Homer: Wait, Marge. Maybe if you're truly cool, you don't need to be told you're cool.

Bart: Well, sure you do.

Lisa: How else would you know?

As cool as the other side of the pillow.

Sklansky is somewhat dry and really tries to be polite, even when he thinks you likely are an idiot:

At the Bellagio, David once asked me somewhat incredulously, "Do you play EVERY hand ?

(The proper answer: "Of course not, I go broke before EVERY hand is dealt.")

I think he is pretty cool, certainly leagues more cool than some of the "poker personalities" we have to watch today.

The following reliable rumour comes from a source inside 2+2 who shall remain nameless. (Yep, he is a bastard.)

The webmaster of this site has recorded all individual voting and forwarded the results to David Sklansky.

David Sklansky now knows which poster thinks that David Sklansky is cool and which poster doesn't think so.

David Sklansky intends to respond appropriately to any future requests for poker advice coming from the He Ain't Cool crowd.
