I've got a bad taste in my mouth over how I played this one. I'm not really bothered by the result, because it was so spectacular.

55 is a good push hand when no one has opened. Altogether different story when the pot has been raised. You might be a slight favorite, or you might be a big dog. Rarely will you be a big favorite (ie run into 44-22).

And, you decided to pick on a stack that could knock you out on the bubble. Not smart. You knew the big stack was not going to fold. He was getting 3:1 on the call, which calling with AJ proper vs. almost any hand except AA. So, you are praying that:

1. He has overcards and not an overpair, and
2. You win the coinflip.

You got your wish on #1. Even so, you know going in you are going to lose 45% of the time and get knocked out.

Hard to be upset when you do.

Even if you win the hand, you are still on the bubble. You have not gained any prize money.

Next time, try the play when:

1. You won't get knocked out if you lose the hand
2. You will get into the money if you win the hand
