I know Im going to hear fold preflop here. But assuming Ive called preflop is there a better line to play this hand?

I think the absolute latest place you should be folding this hand is when UTG+1 min-reraises your flop raise.

yes, fold preflop.
once you get there, i see youve got two choices.
play it passive and try to see a cheap showdown (though on the turn, i would semi bluff). dont raise the flop.
or, play it aggressive to find out where you are. you raised, he reraised, you are beat, fold.

btw, i hope he had 89/images/graemlins/diamond.gif just to teach you not to play ATo to a raise.

Fold preflop. Fold to flop raise. What hands are doing the ol' bet small and then reraise trick that your hand is ahead of? I can't think of any.

I don't think there is anything wrong with limping ATo from MP2. He certainly isn't going to fold it pre-flop when the SB min-raises either. Folding to the $5 bet with TPTK after the flop is not okay, so the raise on the flop is fine. Definitely consider folding after being re-raised pre-flop. Definitely do fold on the turn when he puts you all-in.

Congratulations on being lucky -- don't make the same mistake again, or it will probably cost you next time.

ATo eight handed is trash.

Opponent had 44 for rivered quads. I really didn't understand the allin bet on the turn. I figured him for an overpair like JJ or QQ and thought I had 14 outs. Someone said something about semibluffing the turn. I cant semibluff someone whos allin, but yes if he had bet half the pot I would be pushing him allin on the turn.

Definitely fold preflop. But if you dont, understand that you may need more than TPTK to take it down.

Fold to the flop reraise.

If you dont, fold to the turn all-in.

I mean, how many signals do you need that your hand is no good? You are so rarely going to be shown hands that you beat that I just dont understand the call.
