It's funny... I started out reading his column interested, amused, and so on. Frankly, I can't stand it anymore.

That's the first time I've read it, and I found it a little annoying, too. First he says he's going to cease and desist with the bad-beat stories, then he proceeds to detail a bunch of them.

4. Cease and desist playing online ring games. For whatever reason, I just can't seem to beat them. I'll show you what I mean

Awesome..

10. Never, never, NEVER use the phrase "LOL" ever again.
12. Talk less and listen more, especially to those who know what they are talking about -- like Matt Matros, Greg Raymer and Maess from Minnesota.

Has anyone played at the site he talks about (captain cook)? It sounds pretty fishy

That's the best part of these recent articles!!!! Out of all of the sites on the internet, he plays at Captain Cooks??? No wonder he can't find a good game to play. Unreal.

He must think it's the one site that's not "rigged". Seems kind of silly not to play at one of the top 5 sites instead of at Captain Cook's.

There's a questions link right in the middle of the column in a little box on the left. That might do it!

Be careful, you might get yelled at (from 2+2) if you offer him advice.

I could be wrong, but wasn't Jay playing like 10/20 live? Someone should tell him to play like 2/4 online. Again, not sure exactly what he was playing live, but I'm sure he didn't take into account the different levels of skill online as compared to live.

LOL,
Frankly Jackpot Jay's articles are good for the game if you ask me.
A huge deal of new players who will read this truly believe that these suckouts are the way to win and that they will dive into the fallacy that J-6 on a 10-9-6 board up against a flopped set is going to win with miracle runner runner.
The article is true in its statement and that there are a lot of bad beats and the fact that he implicitly reinforces negative -EV play that is kicking his ass is a good thing for the game.
