Not sure about "firing the second barrel"-type bets, especially with two opponents on the flop. SB was a big fan of min-raising two broadway cards from the blinds and then checking them down when they miss, and MP is fairly weak.

I think this is a +EV play. I'm a big fan of 2/3 to 3/4 pot sized bets to follow up a preflop raise into 1 or 2 others. In this case, I think your immediate fold equity is there, and it's even more +EV when considering the chance of making your hand on the turn or river and extracting more bets from a straight or flush draw who could very well just call additional bets and not get brave on you.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I like the 3/4 pot bet on the flop. Just make sure you make the same bet when you flop a set or have a overpair, or your smarter opponents will start noticing.

firing the second barrel refers to following up with another bluff on the turn.

you only fired the first barrel and about 75% of the players do this already.

Standard play, looks like they missed w/ high cards or scared silly w/ their baby pockets.

I'll bet w/ this hand about 90-95% of the time on the flop. Chances are you're ahead.

Roight. Thanks for the feedback everyone, just wanted to make sure this was standard.

This is hugely overlooked. People often think they are "bluffing" when they follow up their bet into a field of 2 opponents or so with big cards. Oftentimes Ace/Jack high on such a board is in fact the best hand.

And yes, this is standard. I normally shut down on the turn if called, very player / board dependant though.
