We're going to try Evan's ID out at Foxwoods.

Should be up there in the mid afternoon--might stay over until tomorrow.

I'll be at 5/5 NL or 20/40, Evan will probably be at 10/20. Come say hi.

If you seriously are using a fake ID, one bit of advice I'll give is to NOT order drinks, as the waitresses oftentimes recard people knowing that security does a piss-poor job of it, and they can get fined BIG TIME by the state for serving minors, so they do recard, and quite often, anyone looking young.

So.... avoid the drinking, if you were going to.

I might see you up there if I can catch up on random work I have to do. Best wishes.

Unless it's someone else's real ID, I would recommend against this. They DO NOT [censored] aruond with fakes there. One time, I'll tell you the story of the APB out on me, while I changed clothes in the bathroom and had to sneak out Mission Impossible style.

Evan: How was 10/20 at WS the night before? I want a report!!!!

Scrub: What happened man, no show?

TT /images/graemlins/club.gif - I limped out the door and went to Union Square because the 6/12 game didn't get started /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Damn, I must have just missed you today. I was there on my "lunch" at about 11:00.

Maybe next time.

Aren't you supposed to be back on the west coast???

It was someone else's real ID. All went okay and no problems. The only time I got carded was when we first walked onto the casino floor.

Funny thing actually. My friend whos ID it is is from Burlington, NJ and the security gaurd asked me where Burlington was in relation to AC; the only answer I really knew to this question was something to the effect of "kinda close." I bullshitted for a second and thankfully the guy wasn't from Burlington or something.

The second day I shockingly didn't get carded at all accept when we had to cut through an area with slots to get to the bus, but that guy didn't really care once we told him we were on the way out.

Gotta hear that story some time buddy.

It was good. I only played 'til 12 though because I was getting on a 9:07 train. Pretty much just like the 4/8 game really, same bad play.

Evan's sweet strategy was to bend over to open up his bag for the security guy to "inspect" (inspection seemed to mean that the guy stared vacantly at Evan's socks while being pissed that he has to wear a stupid teal blazer) while the security guy was examining the license. Somehow, this maneuver prevented the security dude from noticing that Evan looked nothing like the guy in the license picture.

Highlights: <ul type="square"> The bus driver yelled at us on the way up to Foxwoods from New haven because we were talking too loud. Evan agreed with me that Foxwoods looks like Bowser's Castle from Mario Brothers. We could have played all the way through Mario Brothers 1 in the time it took us to walk to our hotel room--without warp zones. We met Sublime--he's a very cool guy. Sublime watched me accidentally open-limp QTo from MP in a 20/40 game when I somehow thought people had limped who hadn't--he looked at me like I had 9 heads but was classy enough to say that "What happens at Foxwoods stays at Foxwoods." I played 2/4 Omaha while waiting for a seat and got called all sorts of mean names by the sad sack omaha nits when I had the audacity to raise A225 DS on the button after the table limped. Apparently, I learned this from watching celebrity poker and I am like Chris Moneymaker. Or maybe it was Robert Varkonyi. Anyway, I'm bad and they don't like me. I sweated Evan in a 10/20 right before we left for the bus home. Apparently, old, sad sack bastard Foxwoods nits do not like my running commentary on Evan's play. One old guy told me the game didn't need a color commentator after I busted out "Fish!" "Expert play!" and "You look like a midget bug in a ski cap!" during one of Evan's hands (Evan was wearing one of those lame knit caps and my sunglasses while muttering "I can see into your soul" at old guys..). We decided to go to Atlantic City this weekend with a bunch of guys from the Foxwoods 20 game.[/list]

This was a completely expert play.

1. You admitted that if I turn my head like his is in thie picture its pretty close
2. My main concern was him realizing that I'm not 5'9"

Apparently scrub and I had missed the sign indicating that we must act like unhappy mopes and no fun of any kind was to be had at, or on the way to Foxwoods.

There really wasn't much to be debated there.

I had to ask for directions 3 times between leaving the poker room and reaching our room. The best was when i asked someone who I would later find out didn't speak english. For a minute or so I thought he was just mumbling a lot so i kept repeating my question. Then I said, "You don't speak english, do you?" He said "No". Still though, you'd think once I busted out Grand Pequot Tower that would've tipped him off to something...apparently not.

I took scrub's glasses and wore them for my last 2 orbits while making fun of a guy accros from me who was also wearing glasses but in a serious way. Despite popular belief I could not actually see into their souls, but staring at them and making funny faces was cool too.

What day are we going? Or is that still up in the air? (I can't remember if we decided and I forgot or if we never settled on anything)

I'm going to call Mark tomorrow and then I'll get rooms for us if he doesn't work any magic.

I'm thinking go down Friday and stay for some period of time approximating the weekend, possibly extending through early next week.

On the one hand, given the average life expectancy in the US, one has to wonder why anyone's so impatient that they'd risk back-room cavity searches, all in the name of getting into a casino a couple years early, but on the other hand, when we consider their actions, maybe their specific life expectancies aren't that great after all.

1. I don't think I was risking a cavity search.
2. I did it because I like playing live poker and hanging out with scrub was cool.
3. Did you ever go to a bar before you were 21 (or 18 depending on how old you are)?
