How do you properly calc heads up play in terms of favorites to win ? For example 7-7 vs KJ Pre Flop. If this is elsewhere just point me in the direction.

Proper heads up play is a difficult question, and there is no easy right answer in general.

Calculating what is called all-in equity -- which is also the perecentage of times each hand wins when it goes to a showdown -- is done by enumerating over all possible board cards.

This is a gargantuan task to do by hand, but thankfully there is a free program that does it for you:

The Poker Stove tool is very helpful and easy to use. There are several hands that are far worse than I would have thought.
