Well, I had the ok from the wife, but I elected not to go to the Sugar Bowl. Of course I will be glued to the set for it.

Here I go making a fool of myself with a final score prediction:

VA Tech: 31 Auburn: 20

I'm thinking the other way around....but only because I've got a bundle on Auburn giving 6 /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not the best start, 3-0 auburn.

6-0 auburn after two good red zone defensive stands from va tech

I just turned it on, but my friend just described what the Auburn coach did with the timeout, try to get them to jump offsides when it is goal to go, and then another time out. That is retarded.

auburn's coach should henceforth be referred to "Wingnut"

I would have gone for it.

If you make it, you got a 10-0 lead;

If you miss, Tech is on the 2 (or maybe 1). I would take that with a 3-0 lead, no problem.

Finally we stop them before they get into the red zone

4th and goal, auburn burns their final TO of the first half, looks like the hokies are going for it.

an amazing drop by our TE, ugh!

should be a good second half. If Randall calms down a little, Tech should be able to hurt Auburn.

SEC is too strong. I am surprised that VT made it as far as they did, but there was no way they were beating Auburn.

On another note, this game could have gone either way. I had no idea Auburns defense was so strong. They just made the plays and Tech muffed some. The dropped pass in the end zone and teh missed fg on the tech end were huge.

This could've been a loss with multiple turnovers, redzone futilities, and runs for losses for Auburn. They do not look like a team that could run with USC or Oklahoma. There would just be absolutely no way Campbell would get so much time in the backfield in the 1st half against USC's monster line or OU's blitz schemes.

This isn't to imply that before these bowls ever started that Auburn wasn't deserving of a championship bid. They certainly were. But they sure did suck today.

A few more thoughts:
-Jimmy Williams, he's gotta be the next super corner in the nation. Hits like a mack truck, great closing speed.
-Play Ronnie Brown damnit! Cadillac is overrated, Brown had 2x the YPC and he gets scrwed. Terrible.

Great game. We had our chances, but we made one too many mistakes. Auburn played extremely well, the bastards.

Pure class. No Mack Brown bullshit.

A missed field goal and a dropped TD pass were the difference.

Hardly a dominating performance from a team who claimed they got robbed out of the BCS championship.
