MP1 is 81/4/.5 over 20 hands, bb is loose/pasive over a similar number. i bet the turn hoping mp1 would auto-raise like he did the flop to get bb out, but should i just have check-folded? the only hands i could be ahead of are qq and jj, which he may not raise the Ace with anyway.

Why would you want to get BB to fold? What hands are you worried he'll draw out on you with? If he's beating you he won't fold for 2 bets (his A just came, or he's got trip 2s), and if he's behind, he probably has 2 outs to catch up to you if that.

I would just raise the flop. By calling you're letting a hand with three A outs stay in correctly.
