In the next month or two I will probably be moving back to NJ from the bay area. I'm going to drive it with a friend, we will probably both take off a full week so figure that we would have from Saturday to the next Sunday to do it if we wanted to take that long. So what do you guys do if you are making this trip and have this much time? Pretty much anything in between the two coasts would be new to me and my friend, we've seen very little of the country that isn't near an ocean.

Are trying to make it there and back in a week? I suggest using the National Lampoon's Vacation approach and planning it on your Pacman-like video game. Make sure you see the world's second largest ball of twine in Waxahatchie. Play the license plate game all the way across. Etc. Etc.

Or make it a theme trip. Play every poker room all the way across. Or hit every strip club. Get drunk in every beer joint. Eat at every BBQ joint. Some theme like that.

No we're not going there and back just one-way from west to east. One thing we want to do is hit up the riverboat casinos in Louisiana, never been down there before. But then that means driving through MI and AL but oh well.
