Im not sure if this is a well known game and if it is sorry for the repost. Anyways, it was a game I found being played in a pot limit dealer's choice game in tahoe. The name of the game is Tahoe Pitch and Roll, it is a 7stud 8/b game designed for pot limit play that goes like this....

There is a dealer button and 2 blinds (the blinds in this game were 2 and 3 with a 100$ min buy in and no max). Every player is dealt 4 cards, every player discards 1 card, then places one card of their choosing face up. There is a round of betting. 2 more cards are dealt face up and another round of betting occurs. It then repeats one more time, so at the conclusion there are 2 down cards and 5 up cards.

I didnt actually sit down in the game myself (it didnt look soft enough for my limited omaha and stud play) but it seemed like a very fun version of stud.

I have not heard of that game, but it almost sounds like a mix of Kentrel and Mississippi Stud. Kentrel has the high/low four cards, discard one, show one, and Mississippi Stud has the two card second deal. Neither has the two up cards for the last deal though.

Sorry about being slow on the reply. This game was at the Horizon in Tahoe. Also to the previous poster, there were no wild cards in the game.
